WIFE TO SUPPORTIVE HUSBAND FOR 14 YEARS

ROAD TRIPPER AND ADVENTURER

Psychology has always been my passion. I earned my Master’s degree in Ukraine and began my career in the field. However, we relocated to the US due to my husband’s job. After the move, I took some time to focus on raising our children, reflect on my goals, navigate through several crises, and and pursuing further education. It was during this period that I rediscovered myself and found my niche.

I’ve always felt saddened when witnessing couples separating merely due to longstanding issues related to miscommunication. My own marriage wasn’t always flawless too. We got married when we were 19 and 22 years old — two young people deeply in love and quite naive, thinking that love alone would suffice for a secure, long-lasting relationship. I’m smiling as I write this now. Little did we know how much effort we would need to put in, how we would evolve into new roles, how many responsibilities and stresses we would need to manage, how we would face personal and family crises, how many times we would consider divorce, and how hard we would work to make it through.

After all these years, I can confidently say that all we needed was a bit of coaching at the beginning of our journey, which would have saved us a lot of time spent in arguments and grievances. That’s why I chose relationship coaching as my primary niche.

In a world where communication breakdowns, misunderstandings, and conflicts can strain even the strongest of relationships, coaching provides valuable tools and strategies to improve our interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. It equips individuals and couples with the means to build and sustain healthier, more fulfilling relationships by fostering self-awareness, empathy, and effective communication.

My second area of interest is assisting women who have experienced or are currently experiencing psychological abuse, particularly in the context of narcissistic abusive relationships. Unfortunately, throughout our lives, we occasionally encounter abusive individuals in various settings. An abuser can emerge from one’s surroundings, whether it be a partner, a family member, or an acquaintance. Regrettably, this experience often doesn’t conclude with just one person; instead, like a magnet, victims tend to attract abusers repeatedly. Until they consciously break this pattern, acquire the skills to interact with abusers, manage their expectations, establish personal boundaries, resist their influence, recognize manipulation tactics, and embark on the journey to create their own happiness independently. They may struggle to break free from the influence of such individuals in their lives without the help of a professional who not only understands the theory but has firsthand experience with what we are dealing with here.

I’ve been there, I know. I’ve encountered abusive people in my life quite a few times. The most life-altering experiences were with a close relative and my best friend. To cope with the traumas I endured, I needed an extensive amount of time. With the support that I so desperately needed at the time, I could have made it through much faster. I had to realize that there is no problem with me; it is their problems. I had to break patterns. I had to work on myself extensively, reevaluate my connections, and set boundaries. I had to transform into a new, confident, and strong person to get rid of their influence on me. Now, I see the world through a different lens, and I can clearly identify abusive people and their tactics, but they no longer bother me. They do not have any influence over me, and it seems like they have lost interest in me. I have the energy to create and work on my projects, rather than cope with their manipulations and merely surviving. Life feels so much better now. I genuinely wish that women with similar experiences could begin to feel free, safe, confident, loved, empowered, beautiful, strong, respected, energetic, talented, and smart once again. And I’m here to help.

I offer personal and couples coaching, as well as coordinate support groups, both in-person and online.
